Currently in the Twin Cities — August 30, 2024: A sunny and cooler weekend

Plus, a special message from our Founder, Eric Holthaus

The weather, currently.

A sunny and cooler weekend

After severe storms Thursday evening, much more comfortable and cooler air will move in for Friday and the holiday weekend.

We’re in for a streak of sunny, dry days Friday into next week. Another blast of cool air drops temps even more for Sunday. Highs will be just in the low to mid 70s on Sunday and Labor Day.

Meteorological summer ends Saturday and it will be just a couple tenths of a degree cooler than the modern (1991-2020) normal, which of course is warmer than a century ago. What’s startling is that this is the coolest summer in 9 years in the Twin Cities and it’s ending up perfectly average.
