A brief break from humid air before the rain returns
We get a break from active weather (and muggy air) through Friday. The humid air returns Saturday touching off rain and thunder once again. The pattern looks hotter and stormy into next week with highs near 90 by Sunday and several storm chances- some potentially strong to severe, especially late Monday.
Severe weather season really hit central Minnesota late Wednesday. There were several tornado reports that the National Weather Service will investigate from Camp Ripley through Aitken to Mora. There were also 16 wind damage reports and 45 large hail reports in the state.
