More heat, storms, and heavy rainfall

A steamy air mass will continue to linger around Minnesota this week creating bouts of storms with potential severe weather and heavy rainfall. A cool front Sunday night will stall out near the Minnesota/Iowa border, pushing the highest dew points south some but it will still be muggy Monday. Thunderstorms will develop on the nose of a low level jet (winds at about 4,000 feet up up to 50 mph) which will be transporting more moisture northward late Sunday night into early Monday. Most of that activity will lift north through the morning Monday with more storms possible late Tuesday.
