Plus, new ways to support our independent climate journalism

The weather, currently.

More heat, storms, and heavy rainfall

The steamy air mass is back for Tuesday with highs in the upper 80s. A cold front will spawn more storms late in the day with possible severe weather and heavy rainfall. We’ll need to watch river levels this week as they continue to rise.

Rainfall since Friday is adding up to between 2 to 4 inches for most of the Twin Cities area. Most of southern Minnesota saw yet another deluge of rainfall early Monday. There were also scattered wind damage reports across far southern Minnesota.
