A mostly dry stretch, for a change

Our dew points reached their highest point this year Tuesday, in the upper 60s and even near 70 for some spots. Much drier air and eventually cooler air will start to move in Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Look for a windy couple of days, too. With colder air aloft Wednesday we’ll start sunny but clouds will build and we’ll see hit and miss downpours develop for the afternoon and evening. We should then be mainly dry Thursday into early next week. The last time we had more than 72 hours of consecutively without measurable rainfall was in the first half of May.
