Friday should bring brighter skies as the atmosphere stabilizes from the last couple days. A quick moving system will bring mainly overnight showers Friday night but most rainfall should be modest. The sun is back Saturday with a pleasant weekend on the way: highs will be in the 70s and most will be dry after Friday night.

The latest U.S. drought monitor for Minnesota shows no drought in the state for the first time in two years! Last week’s monitor continued to show two percent of north central Minnesota in drought. We’re running year-to-date surpluses for precipitation in most of Minnesota.
