Chilly mornings!

What a difference a day and a cold front makes! Temperatures were nearly 30 degrees cooler Wednesday afternoon compared to Tuesday. You can let the AC rest a while.

Temperatures will be in the 50s tonight in the Twin Cities but in the 40s for points north and west. Look for gradually more sun by late Thursday after a cloudy start. Friday looks sunny with temperatures back close to 80 before the next chance of some spotty rain/thunder develops late Saturday and Monday. We see a reinforcing shot of cool air early next week. We’ll get updated drought information Thursday.

One of my favorite organizations, Mutual Aid Disaster Relief, serves as a hub of mutual aid efforts focused on climate action in emergencies — like Hurricane Idalia. Find mutual aid network near you and join, or donate to support networks in Florida:
